Jackie Chan’s Stunt Team to Handle Action Scenes in Spider-Man: Brand New Day

According to CinemaDrame News Agency, behind-the-scenes images from Spider-Man: Brand New Day, starring Tom Holland, had already hinted at an action-heavy sequel. Now, action legend Jackie Chan has confirmed that his stunt team is directly involved in the project.

In a new interview with HK-01, Chan revealed: “I went to London and visited the set. My ‘Jackie Chan Stunt Team’ was filming Spider-Man, and I was the action director for the group. I went to watch their training, and the director was surprised to see me. I made sure he knew they were my team members!”

Spider-Man: Brand New Day marks Holland’s fourth outing as the web-slinger in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, best known for Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. The screenplay is written by Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.

Alongside Holland, Zendaya and Jacob Batalon will return, while Sadie Sink and Liza Colón-Zayas join in undisclosed roles. The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Jon Bernthal will reprise his role as the Punisher, Mark Ruffalo returns as the Hulk, and Michael Mando is back as the Scorpion.

Meanwhile, a fan account on X (@SpiderManCD) has claimed that Spider-Man: Darkest Day will be the official title of Spider-Man 5. Marvel and Sony have previously confirmed that a new Holland-led trilogy is in development.

Sony Pictures will release Spider-Man: Brand New Day on July 31, 2026.
